Based in Leeds, Cormac Friel performs regularly in Scotland, the North of England and the midlands. His first solo Edinburgh show – Jobby Hunter, telling the story of his difficulties in finding post-graduate employment, was a great success. Cormac built on its triumph with a second show informing the public on why he has never managed to be one of the alpha males he lusts over and he assumed he would become, detailing how his competitive nature is more of a hindrance than a help. This year, expect more hilarious anecdotes of his childhood expectations, teenages delusions and adult failures in “Breakfast Epiphanies.”
Cormac’s comedy has developed a small, committed following among viewers of his shows. His performances result in women laughing and some men planning better-lit routes home.
